Starting from Lençois, we travel by car for about 3 hours to the city of Ibicoara, a distance of 220km (137mi), before continuing on for about an hour more to the community of Baixão, 30km (17mi) away. In Baixão, we will have a lunch of regional foods and visit an artesenal alembic still, followed by a 1 hour walk to the border of the rivers that will grant us access to the foot of the Buracão Waterfall. You will have time to swim and enjoy a relaxing swim through the waterfall’s canyon before we depart and drive back to Baixão. The community will bid us farewell by dancing a samba de reisado while we enjoy a dinner of regional foods, and we return to Lençois following the festivities.

Starting from Lençois, we travel by car for about 3 hours to the city of Ibicoara, a distance of 220km (137mi), before continuing on for about an hour more to the community of Brejão, 30km (17mi) away. We will visit the house of Griô and healer Ormesina Chagas to receive her blessings with curing herbs as well as hear stories about the creation of the community of Brejão. We will then have a lunch of local foods. In the afternoon, we will walk for about an hour and a half along a canyon to the Véu de Noiva (Bride’s Veil) Waterfall. You will have time to swim and enjoy the waterfall before we return, briefly, to Brejão, and then to Lençois.
